Well, children, where there is so much racket there must be something out of kilter. I think that 'twixt the negroes of the South and the women at the North, all talking about rights, the white men will be in a fix pretty soon. But what's all this here talking about?

Your Thoughts......
My sister and I had a conversation about REVENGE!. We asked each other what do you do when someone has done something to you that made you want to seek revenge? Well, I shared with her it depends on the situation and the individual. Based on past experiences and my relationship with GOD you're just better off giving it GOD and letting him handle it. Seeking revenge opens the door for a lot of problems, hatred, bitterness, and unforgiveness! I think people feel like if you do me wrong, I'm going to do you wrong. But that's not the answer. If you go that route what do you accomplish? then what?......although, it looks like or it seems like the person is getting away with what they did, in actuality they didn't it just look that way. I've learned over the years to Let go and Let GOD and Forgive. I know.....I know.... how do you do that? Trust me, this is not something that happens instantly, it's a process. You have to believe and trust that GOD will take care of it. Trust me it doesn't pay to seek revenge because it comes back on you.

Ala. leaders apologize for handling of 1944 rape
ABBEVILLE, Ala. — Nearly 70 years after Recy Taylor was raped by a gang of white men, leaders of the rural southeast Alabama community where it happened apologized Monday, acknowledging that her attackers escaped prosecution because of racism and an investigation bungled by police.
"It is apparent that the system failed you in 1944," Henry County probate judge and commission chairwoman JoAnn Smith told several of Taylor's relatives at a news conference at the county courthouse.Taylor, 91, lives in Florida and did not attend the news conference. Family members said she was in poor health and was not up to traveling to Abbeville or speaking with reporters. But her 74-year-old brother Robert Corbitt, who still lives in town, was front and center and said he would relay the apology to his sister.
"What happened to my sister way back then ... couldn't happen today," he said. "Boy, what a mess they made out of it. They tried to make her look like a whore and she was a Christian lady."
Taylor, who is black, told The Associated Press in an interview last year that she believes the men who attacked her are dead, but she would still like an apology from the state. The AP does not typically identify victims of sexual assault but is using her name because she has publicly identified herself.
Taylor was 24, married and living in her native Henry County when she was gang-raped in Abbeville. She was walking home from church when she was abducted, assaulted and left on the side of the road in an isolated area.
Two all-white, all-male grand juries declined to bring charges. Democratic State Rep. Dexter Grimsley of Newville said police bungled the investigation and harassed Taylor. "I would like to extend a deep, heartfelt apology for the error we made here in Alabama," Grimsley said Monday, looking straight at Corbitt. "It was so unkind. We can't stand around and say that it didn't happen." He said the statements from the mayor and the probate judge help to assure area residents that "that era won't return to us." He also said he is working on a resolution asking the state to apologize to Taylor.
Taylor's story, along with those of other black women attacked by white men during the civil rights era, is told in "At the Dark End of the Street," a book by Danielle McGuire released last year.
McGuire said Monday she would eventually like to see more formal apologies from the state, city and county, but views the statements from officials, prompted by publicity about her book, as a good first step.
"The fact that they are acknowledging that this happened is important," said McGuire, a history professor at Wayne State University in Detroit.
The case got the attention of NAACP activist Rosa Parks in the 1940s, a decade before she became an icon by refusing to give up her seat on a Montgomery city bus. Parks interviewed Taylor in 1944 and later recruited other activists to create the "Alabama Committee for Equal Justice for Mrs. Recy Taylor." Those efforts were later overshadowed by other civil rights battles. Corbitt said he felt like his sister's case was forgotten until he started doing some research several years ago and found out about the work that McGuire was doing. Mayor Ryan Blalock, who was among those apologizing Monday, said he had not heard about the case until recently.
"It felt good that the mayor said he is sorry about it," Corbitt said. Blalock got emotional when he told Taylor's family that Abbeville is now a good place to live and that white people and black people respect each other and work and play together. "My 8-year-old son has as many black friends as he does white friends," said Blalock, who is white. "They are welcome at our place and he is welcome in their homes."

SPRINT PCS
OMG! I had the worst experience with sprint today 3/14/2011!!! I'm seriously contemplating changing carriers after being a customer for over 10yrs! Sprint Sucks!!!! Stay tuned for all the details....OK here goes, anyone that's a member of sprint or a sprint customer I'm protesting against them. I had the worst customer service experience with them for the last (3) days over a wall charger. My phone(Iinstinct S30) wasn't charging, took the phone to the sprint store they told me my charger was bad, the tech proceeded to tell me that sprint didn't carry the charger for my device. Isummated that maybe that particular store didn' t carry the accessory. Well, come to find out I was told by two sprint employees that sprint does not carry the charger at all. You're probably thinking what I'm thinking..... how is it you're selling a product that you no longer have the accessory for? So I asked the rep. ok...so in the mean what am I suppose to do? how do we rectify this situation? This idiot tells me to got to EBAY to locate a charger for my phone!! EBay??? Really??.So, I asked her, did you just say for me to go eBay? she says I'm not saying anything. I told her you did say something...you just told me to go to eBay! Are you kidding me???? and the saga began. I spoke to at least 10 ppl that worked for sprint and no one could tell me if sprint had the charger or not. No one try to accommodate me at all!!! then a rep called and told me that I could go to Radio Shack and purchase a charger, mind you, I inquired about purchasing the charger somewhere else other than sprint. Sprint told me that no one else carried the charger. Is sprint information conflicting or what? Well on Tues. 3/15/20011 I spoke to Wes and Franky and they told me, oh, we have the charger, we can order the charger online with our special capabilities!??? What? my response was so...you do have the charger? At this point I'm discombobulated and get this yall!.... after talking with at least 11 ppl during 3/14-3/16, went thru all that drama, after being a customer for over 10yrs, they wanted to charged me $39.99 for a wall charger. You would think the least they could do was ship it to me free of charge!!! for my troubles.....not! I have decided to change carriers and I'm letting everyone how I was treated and I'm looking for some folks to join me in protesting against them by not purchasing anything from SPRINT or utilize their services! SPRINT SUCKS TO THE 10TH POWER!!!

So, I did a poll and the majority said it's their way of getting the point across! or that's their way of expressing anger rather than hitting someone! can you believe that? Why are curse words a part of our conversation? What purpose does it serve? Why is it in our vocabulary?

Shoney's
Ok, so....I meet up with a friend @ Shoney's of Glen Allen, VA.....the most GOD awful place!...The food was awful!. I should've known something was up because it was only 4 ppl in the place. In my opinion that says alot about a restaurant. Peak hrs of the morning and it's not running over with customers.....hum??? Well, it was in the middle of the week and about 9am. Anyway, at checkout I'm paying for my meal and the cashier ask me if I left the tip on the table or do I want to put it on my card. Immediately I caught an attitude because he asked for the tip! That's the one thing I hate!!! If I was going to tip the young lady he messed it up for her. Now, don't get me wrong I wasn't trying to get out of not tipping the waitress. It's just the fact that he asked for it. I do believe in tipping and I do at everyone restaurant rather the service is good or bad, they did provide a service so I tip. But to ask for it!.....it's a sure way of not getting a tip from me. I think it's rude and disrespectful to ask a customer for a tip.
